Online application process for CCW.

CCW Update as of February 2024

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) recently notified the Fremont Police Department regarding a change in Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license processing.  Effective March 1, 2024,  ACSO will no longer be processing CCWs for the Fremont Police Department; applicants who wish to apply for or renew a CCW shall do so with their local law enforcement agency. This means Fremont residents should apply/renew their CCW with the Fremont Police Department. 

Pursuant to California Government Code § 7923.800, the privacy and confidentiality of information on the CCW is disclosable except for:

• (a) Information that indicates when or where the applicant is vulnerable to attack and
• (b) Information that concerns the applicant's medical or psychological history, or that of members of the applicant's family.
