The Police Business Services unit manages financial and budget operations and oversees payroll, purchasing services, payment of bills and other business transactions and agreements for the Police Department as well as managing Building Operations and the Patrol Equipment Room.
Business Services acts as a liaison to the City of Fremont Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Revenue and Human Resources, as well as to Alameda County for our grant programs.
The mission of the Business Services Department is to ensure effective and efficient management of the Police Department's public revenue, financial resources, and supplies in order to support public safety through law enforcement. Related to this mission are three goals: to ensure our employees have the best possible tools we can afford to perform their duties in serving our community, to assist the Chief in ensuring that the department operates within its annually appropriated resources, and to support the Police Department in achieving its annual performance measures and goals through fiscal management.
