The widespread use of smartphones makes it easy for the public to help law enforcement agencies fight crime. This is not an application for reporting in-progress crimes or suspicious activity. Our tip reporting options are designed as a means to report information about any non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, theft, the sale and distribution of drugs or information about crimes that are being planned in the community or schools.
If you would like to contact the Fremont Police Department to send a tip or photograph, please use our general email account fremontpolice@fremont.gov. This method is NOT anonymous. Photos or video that are evidence in a crime, need to be accepted in person by a Patrol Officer who can properly accept, report and document the evidence. If you have already filed a report and have new evidence, please contact your original investigating officer and if this is a new report, please call 510-790-6800 X 3 so that we can enter the call for service and assist you.
