Shooting Victim Succumbs to His Injuries

On July 20, 2024, at approximately 1:25 p.m., Fremont PD received multiple 9-1-1- calls from community members reporting a shooting that just occurred in the area of Blaisdell Way and Nichols Ave.  Officers quickly arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately provided life-saving efforts, but the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.  At this time, there is no known, active threat to the community. 

The Fremont Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit responded to take over the investigation.  This is an active and ongoing investigation, and we are asking people to stay out of the area for the next several hours.  We plan to provide updates to this investigation as more information becomes available.
