Update: Eastbound Dumbarton Bridge (SR-84) Repaving Work Completed Two Days Early. No Nighttime Closures Tonight, Nov. 2, or Tomorrow Night, Nov. 3
ALAMEDA AND SAN MATEO COUNTIES – Repaving work that necessitated closing the eastbound Dumbarton Bridge overnight has completed two days ahead of schedule. The closures planned for tonight, Nov. 2, and tomorrow night, Nov. 3, are no longer necessary and are canceled.
The Dumbarton Bridge was closed in the eastbound direction between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The closures had been scheduled to continue for the rest of the week, but crews completed repaving work two days ahead of schedule.
During the closure, crews repaved the roadway from the east end of the bridge to the toll plaza, creating a smoother ride for motorists. The bridge stretches between the City of Menlo Park in San Mateo County and the City of Fremont in Alameda County, connecting two Bay Area counties.
Caltrans thanks the public for your patience during the closures.
