Large Scale Public Safety Training Exercise Planned: August 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the California School for the Deaf.
On Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the California Highway Patrol is facilitating a large-scale active shooter training exercise at the California School for the Deaf located at 39000 block of Gallaudet Drive. The training involves a large number of officers and patrol cars, and limited occasional pyrotechnics may be used. Please do not be alarmed by the large presence of law enforcement officers in the area. We do not anticipate any disruptions to adjacent business operations. We appreciate your understanding, and the training is structured to limit the impact on the surrounding community.
